ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Passenger is required to read and acknowledge terms and conditions in our website before making any reservation with us. Payment of deposit and/or final payment will be considered as full acceptance of our Terms and conditions herein reported and fully disclosed in our website. Each participant understands that AVENTURA WORLD will be accepting that participant's reservation in reliance upon such participant's acceptance of the terms and conditions as outlined in this brochure and in our web.
AIR AND LAND/CRUISE PACKAGES are per person based on double occupancy. Single room supplements and triple room reductions are listed or available where applicable. Air transportation is included (unless otherwise stated in the brochure). Airport taxes and fees may or may not be included in the advertised price, please refer to specific program inclusion. Fuel surcharges and airport taxes and fees provided at the time of deposit are subject to change until full payment is received and the ticket is issued. Some airfares may require instant purchase. Note: In case of a human or computer billing error, we reserve the right to re-invoice for the correct amount. A full refund will be made to passengers not wishing to pay increases provided that the passengers' written cancellation is received by AVENTURA WORLD within 5 business days after price increase notification.
A deposit is required at the time of booking and NO request will be acted upon until a deposit is received. Note: No bookings are considered confirmed until a deposit is received by AVENTURA WORLD. If payments are not received on time, AVENTURA WORLD has the right to cancel the bookings without any liability. Payments can be submitted by check to Aventura World at 250 Moonachie Road, Moonachie, NJ, 07074, or via fax or email if paying by any major credit card which requires a signed AVENTURA WORLD Credit Card authorization form (except for deposit on online bookings), validated by the credit card holder. No third party credit cards will be accepted. Other restrictions may apply.
(reservations made within 35 days of departure date, subject to space available and price adjustment): Payments must be made within 24 hours of booking by certified check, wire transfer, or credit card, and may be subject to a $25 late-booking fee, plus any costs incurred to ensure timely document delivery.
All Cancellations must be submitted to AVENTURA WORLD in writing via mail, email or fax. You are subject to the fees noted on the trip brochure/registration form. Date of cancellation is the date Aventura World's Main Office receives such written notification.
GENERAL CANCELATION POILICY:
Cancellations more than 90 Days prior to departure 10% of the total cost per person (or a minimum of $325 per person)
Between 89 to 46 Days prior to departure - 30% of the total cost is retained.
Between 45 to 31 Days prior to departure - 50% of the total cost is retained.
Between 30 to 15 Days prior to departure - 75% of the total cost is retained.
Between 14 Days to the Day of departure - No refund
Note: A person becoming a single as a result of a roommate’s cancellation must pay the single supplement.
CUBA (LAND PROGRAM) CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations more than 100 days prior to departure 10% of total price per person price is retained. (or a minimum of $325 per person)
Cancellations between 99-89 days prior to the departure - 30% of total per person price is retained.
Cancellations between 88-45 days prior to the departure - 50% of total per person price is retained.
Cancellations 44-30 days prior to the departure - 75% of total per person price is retained
Cancellations less than 30 days prior to the departure/no shows - No refunds.
Note: A person becoming a single as a result of a roommate’s cancellation must pay the single supplement.
CHINA CANCELATION POLICY
Cancellations more than 90 days prior to departure 25% of total price per person (or a minimum of $500 per person) price is retained.
Cancellations between 89-31 days prior to the departure - 50% of total per person price is retained.
Cancellations 30 days or less prior to the departure/no shows - No refunds.
Note: A person becoming a single as a result of a roommate’s cancellation must pay the single supplement.
AVENTURA WORLD contracted airfares are mostly non-refundable. In all instances, regardless of the airfare used, "NO-SHOWS" are non-refundable including fuel surcharges and any airport or government taxes & fees. AVENTURA WORLD's optional travel insurance is strongly recommended.
AVENTURA WORLD cannot be held responsible for the cancellation fees of air ticket/s issued by companies other than AVENTURA WORLD, even in the case when AVENTURA WORLD may cancel a departure for any reason whatsoever. Consult with our experienced reservations staff, your travel agent or the airline for the applicable penalties and/or restrictions.
Aventura World offers an optional cancel for any reason cancellation insurance which must be paid with your initial deposit or within 15 days of your initial deposit/payment for your trip." Due to policy rules our insurance cannot be purchased after 15 days. Aventura World strongly recommends protecting your investment with our optional travel insurance. See Insurance page for further details. Insurance premiums are nonrefundable.
Hotels are classified according to government ratings, which vary from country to country. Such classifications and number of stars assigned have no corresponding value from one country to the next and may not reflect the expectations of U.S. travelers. The Operator reserves the right to make substitutions with hotels of similar or higher ratings. Accommodations are based on two persons sharing a twin-bedded room with private bath or shower at the hotel selected or similar. A single room may be provided at a supplement. In many cases, single rooms, though assuring privacy, are small and not as well situated as double room accommodations. In addition, rooms are assigned upon arrival based on current availability and may vary in size, amenities and location. Generally, triple rooms consist of two beds with a rollaway for a third party. This may not be comfortable for some travelers. In the event a hotel substitution becomes necessary, a comparable class of hotel will be provided, however, amenities may not be the same. Air conditioning is available at most 4-star or higher hotels. However, foreign air conditioning & heating may not be regulated according to U.S. standards. Some tourist-class hotels may have air conditioning available, and some may charge a supplement.
Rates are based on two persons sharing an inside cabin with two lower berths (outside cabin for River & Barge Cruises), private shower and toilet. Single and triple cabins and upgrades to outside cabins or to superior cabins and suites are available at a supplement. Ocean cruise, River Cruise and Barge Cruise cabin assignments are run-of-the-ship based on selected category. Actual cabin numbers may be given earlier but mostly will be given in your final documents.
Meals if included are indicated under "Tour Features". Breakfast (B), lunches (L) and dinners (D) are at hotels and popular local restaurants.
On ESCORTED/HOSTED TOURS we do not accept children under 8 years of age because we have found they are too young to enjoy touring. Disabled participants requiring travel with a wheelchair must be accompanied by a qualified helper who assumes total responsibility for the disabled participant's well-being. Note: Most transportation services (including motor coaches), visited sites, and hotels may not be equipped with wheelchair ramps. AVENTURA WORLD cannot be held responsible if ramps are not available. Similar restrictions may apply for RIVER CRUISES AND BARGE CRUISES where there are no elevators, and where cabin doors and restrooms cannot be accessed by wheelchairs. OCEAN CRUISE passengers cannot be carried on ramps when ships are at tender. To assure congenial membership, AVENTURA WORLD reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a tour participant and to expel from the tour any participant(s) whose conduct is deemed incompatible with the interest of the tour group. Any incurred expenses will be charged to the expelled tour participant(s).
To ensure proper delivery of travel documents (via UPS ground), they will be delivered to the group leader or sponsoring organization. Tour documents, including airline tickets, are sent out 3 to 5 weeks prior to departure date, provided payment in full has been received.
SIGHTSEEING & ITINERARIES:
Sightseeing is included as per the brochure itinerary and is under the direction of licensed local guides where required. Entrance fees to all places visited are included where indicated. During holidays, some sights such as museums may be closed or unavailable for visits. AVENTURA WORLD reserves the right to vary the sequence of sightseeing and/or to re-route the order of cities should circumstances demand it. In either case, the itinerary content will be maintained, even though the order may change. Optional day tours are offered on most programs. We request that you sign-up for all optional tours no later than at final payment. There are no refunds for any unused portion of these excursions. AVENTURA WORLD arranges optional post-trip or pre-trip extensions must be purchased at the time of initial reservation and deposit as different air schedules from the base program are required.
If the services included in the tour cannot be supplied, or there are changes in an itinerary for reasons beyond our control, we will arrange for the provision of comparable services.
is provided by private, air-conditioned motor coach or other conveyance as specified in the itinerary. On our ESCORTED/HOSTED TOURS we mandate SEAT ROTATION and SMOKING IS NOT allowed on the motor coach.
Except for ESCORTED/HOSTED TOURS and other tour packages, if specifically stated that transfers are included, transfers to/from arrival and departure city airports ARE NOT INCLUDED, but may be purchased at time of booking. When flights are not booked through AVENTURA WORLD, airport transfers can be provided for an extra cost. Travel Agents/Travelers are fully responsible to communicate any flight, time & routing schedule change, via email to AVENTURA WORLD. A change fee will be applied for each schedule change. No refund or credit shall be issued for any missed transfers resulting from incorrect flight information and/or delays beyond the standard waiting period (one hour). TRANSFER SERVICE IS NOT INCLUDED for passengers taking a pre/post extension package not planned by AVENTURA WORLD preceding/following any of our scheduled departure programs, Escorted /Hosted Tours or cruises. Such services are available at a supplement. Transfers for Escorted Tours have no cash value.
BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE & HANDLING:
In most cases, international airlines allow one bag per person to be checked in, plus a small carry-on. Excess baggage charges are the sole responsibility of the passenger. Please check with respective airline for baggage allowance size, weight and excess baggage fees. Porterage is included at hotels ONLY on ESCORTED/HOSTED TOURS, and includes handling of one normal-sized suitcase per person. Wheeled carry-on cases are considered a normal piece of luggage. In addition, AVENTURA WORLD is not responsible in the event that luggage or tour participants' belongings become damaged or lost, which occurrence must be promptly notified to and acknowledged by a recognized authority in writing. NOTE: We strongly recommend that you purchase our cancel for any reason travel protection insurance.
EXTENDED YOUR STAY:
The airfare used in connection with our packages permit a total stay of 30 to 60 days depending on the airline. There will be a $150 per person deviation charge to break away from our group fare, plus any fare increase if applicable. Should you choose to extend your stay before or after your AVENTURA WORLD program, all arrangements and costs incurred therein shall be your responsibility (extra days at hotel, transfers to airport, weekend surcharges, etc.). Any air deviation, gateway change or own air arrangement must be submitted to the AVENTURA WORLD reservations department, in writing (email/letter/reservation form) before the final payment due date. Any passenger requesting a different gateway (gateway change) from the group will not incur an air supplement but will be subject to air rate increases or reductions per the AVENTURA WORLD pricing.
As indicated in tour features, a professional English speaking Tour Director or Host will be incorporated in each TOUR and an Egyptologist in Egypt (also included during Nile Cruise) throughout the itinerary, except while cruising in the Mediterranean.
Airfares in conjunction with all our packages are based on round-trip contracted fares or published fares, including applicable government taxes, fees & fuel surcharge. Weekend surcharge will be included where applicable. Because of limited seats available both in our contracted airfares and in the lowest class of published fares, we strongly recommend to book early. If that class of service is not available at the time of booking, another class of service may be offered at a higher price. Upgrades for special Business Class/First Class airfares are available. All such additional charges will be debited to the passengers. However they will not be subject to change once ticket is paid in full and already issued. It is the passenger's responsibility to reconfirm all flights 72 hours before flight date/time. Should the airline request, for any reason whatsoever, an unexpected issuance of air tickets, they must be immediately paid in full, regardless of any previous notification to passenger.
SEAT ASSIGNMENT AND SPECIAL REQUEST:
Requests for seat assignments, meal requirements, special services and frequent flyer miles (subject to specific airlines rules & availability), are at the sole discretion of the airline. AVENTURA WORLD cannot be held responsible for specific seat assignments, meal requirements, and special services. Economy plus/comfort class/enhanced economy seating is not available to reserve via the Aventura World air contracts. Upon receiving your airline tickets/e-tickets (Inside your final documents) you may call the airline directly to enquire on availability and upgrade cost.
Rail tickets (point to point) and Rail Passes are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged without penalties once issued, nor replaced if lost. Therefore, please refer to the terms and conditions listed on your rail ticket. Most of the rail transportation included in our packages consists of Point-To-Point Tickets valid only for the train, class of service and/or day indicated on the ticket, including seat reservation. Rail Passes are non-transferable and must be validated on location prior to embarking on your first train.
US citizens require a valid US passport. Visa is required for passengers for U.S citizens traveling to Russia and Brazil, which is to be obtained in the US prior to departure. For U.S citizens traveling to Turkey (for stays of more than 2 days), Peru, Egypt, Jordan, Dubai and Israel, a Visa can be obtained upon arrival. Morocco does not require a Visa if staying in the country less than 90 days. Non-US citizens should consult their travel agent or consulate. All passengers are responsible for ensuring they have the proper travel documents and MUST CHECK with the respective consulates or visa agency to determine whether any visas are required. For U.S citizens traveling to Cuba, the visa is included in your package. Cuban-born citizens require a different visa via the Cuban Interests Section in Washington DC. The additional cost for this visa is the responsibility of the traveler. Most countries require that passports be valid for at least 6 months beyond the conclusion of the trip. It is recommended that you have a minimum of six blank pages in your passport when traveling, as many countries require blank pages.
POST TOUR INQUIRIES/CLAIMS:
Typewritten claims must be received within 30 days after scheduled return date and will be promptly acknowledged, however related processing, verifications and settlements may take up to 60 days or longer. When requesting a refund by e-mail for non-provided services, claimant must return the original service voucher by mail for said non-provided services in order for this request to be evaluated and eventually settled.
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE TRAVEL ADVICE:
From time to time, the U.S. Travel Department (www.travel.state.gov) issues Travel Advisory Notices giving advice regarding travel to a particular destination, which you should consult. If their advice to U.S. citizens is to defer travel, we will probably have to cancel your program (we have to follow the advice of our insurers). If their advice is against non-essential travel we will not usually cancel your program, but will be happy to give our opinion of the possible risks involved. The decision to travel or not in this case will be yours, and our normal cancellation conditions will apply. You should also check your travel insurance to confirm how a travel notice affects your policy, as this varies between insurers.
At the end of each holiday you will have the opportunity to complete a questionnaire about your tour. This form will be mailed to you with your documents or distributed locally at your destination. We value your input so please take this opportunity to give us your comments on all aspects of your trip. This will help us maintain the high standards of quality and service that have been our trademark since 1972.
Unless otherwise stated - transfers for international airport arrivals and departures for LAND ONLY, LAND/CRUISE or CRUISE ONLY (except for Escorted Tours scheduled arrival and departure); transportation between home city and airport; transfers to/from rail stations; port taxes, porterage at U.S. gateways. Optional air transportation not included, however, if purchased, fuel surcharge, all security fees, airport taxes and fees and/or any other governmental or local taxes and fees will be included. Also not included: excess baggage fees, passport fees, vaccinations, visa fees, tips to Tour Directors, local hosts/hostesses, city guides, drivers and cruise personnel (Visit our website - www.aventuraworld.com for suggested tipping), phone calls, laundry service, items of a personal nature and sightseeing, services or meals other than those specifically mentioned as included in the respective itinerary page.
The carriers concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not on board their conveyances. The airline passenger tickets, when issued, shall be the sole contract between airline and buyer/passenger of these tickets.
AVENTURA WORLD by Central Holidays West, a division of SGI U.S., LLC, its and their employees, shareholders, officers and directors (collectively, "AVENTURA WORLD") does not own or operate any entity which is to or does provide goods or services for your trip, including, for example, lodging facilities, transportation companies, guides or trip leaders, food service providers, equipment suppliers, ground operators, etc., including, without limitation, various entities which may utilize the AVENTURA WORLD name. AVENTURA WORLD is not responsible for any negligent or willful act or failure to act of any such person or entity nor for any act or inaction of any other third party not under its control. Without limitation, AVENTURA WORLD is not liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damage, injury, death, loss, accident, delay, inconvenience or irregularity of any kind which may be occasioned by reason of any act or omission beyond its control, including, without limitation, any willful or negligent act, failure to act, breach of contract of any third party such as an airline, train, hotel, restaurant or food supplier, bus, taxi, van operator, local guide, whether or not it uses the AVENTURA WORLD name, which is, to, or does supply any goods or services for this trip. AVENTURA WORLD is not responsible for any loss, injury, death or inconvenience due to delay or changes in schedule, overbooking or downgrading of accommodations, insolvency, or default of any third party, attacks by animals, sickness, the lack of appropriate medical care, evacuation to same, if necessary, weather, strikes, acts of God or government, acts of terrorism or the threat thereof, force majeure, war, quarantine, epidemics or the threat thereof, criminal activity, or any other cause beyond its control.
Payment of deposit and/or issue of final documents shall be deemed your consent to the terms and conditions herein. Each participant understands that AVENTURA WORLD will be accepting that participant's booking in reliance upon such participant's acceptance of the terms and conditions as outlined in this brochure. Terms and Conditions listed are those in effect at time of printing and will remain until replaced. Any new or re-issue of Terms and Conditions will replace all previous versions. No person, other than an authorized representative of AVENTURA WORLD, is authorized, by a document in writing, to vary, add or waive any term or condition in this brochure, including any term or condition set forth in the preceding provisions. All transport onboard ship is provided subject to the terms and conditions of the Passenger Contract that you will receive with your final documentation. The Passenger Contract on cruise ships is governed by international law and may be subject to the Athens Protocol on Limits of Recoverable Damage as determined by the International Monetary Fund. NOTE: AVENTURA WORLD IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY TYPOGRAPHICAL OR PRINTING ERRORS FOUND IN OUR MARKETING MATERIALS.
Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating in any way to these Terms & Conditions, to this Tour Agreement, to the brochure, or any other information relating in any way to the trip, or to the trip itself shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration in Moonachie, New Jersey in accordance with the commercial rules of the American Arbitration Association then existent. In any such arbitration the substantive (but not procedural) law of New Jersey will apply. The arbitrator and not any federal, state, or local court or agency shall have exclusive authority to resolve any dispute relating to the interpretation, applicability, enforceability, conscionability, or formation of this contract, including but not limited to any claim that all or any part of this contract is void or voidable.
