We start our journey in Copenhagen, a city that offers a perfect mix of playful spirit to stunning architectural design, from royal castles to enchanting canals, and uniquely shaped brick buildings. Oslo is a city that grew from sprawling country town into the sophisticated metropolis it is today. Surrounded by a vast archipelago, Stockholm is a true Nordic beauty, where modern city shines next to historic old town. Helsinki, one of Europe's most handsome and captivating cities, modelled its very shape and style on its powerful neighbor's former capital, St. Petersburg.

Day 1 Depart USA
Today you begin a wondrous adventure as you depart the USA on an overnight flight to Copenhagen, Denmark. Meals and refreshments served on board.

Day 2 Arrive Copenhagen, Denmark
Welcome to Copenhagen. Not only is it the trendiest city of Scandinavia, but it also gets constantly ranked as the happiest city in the world. Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport by your Tour Director and transferred to a hotel in the city center. Rest of the day is at leisure - walk along the streets and explore the city of the royal family, and the main street Stroget, with many shops, bars and cafes. Tonight enjoy a welcome dinner in Tivoli Gardens. Tivoli Gardens is an amusement park in Copenhagen that is a must for all visitors to the city. It was founded in 1843 and has become a national treasure and an international attraction. Fairytale writer Hans Christian Andersen visited many times, as did Walt Disney and many other celebrities, who all fell in love with the gardens. (D)

Day 3 Copenhagen - Panoramic City Tour
This morning, following breakfast, you head out on a guided panoramic city tour of Copenhagen. Enjoy the famed charms from the past and present, including the infamous Little Mermaid and the rococo Royal Palace Amalienborg. Walk around Nyhavn, originally a busy commercial port, but nowadays a vibrant hub of city life and shopping. Don’t forget to notice the house, which was home to the famous writer Hans Christian Andersen. Next, as part of our Cultural Discovery Series - visit Hellerup School and its distinctive architectural design featuring a central auditorium-style stairway which provides an environment that encourages teaching and learning in teams. Learn from the school principal why their school system is one of the best in the world. (B)

Day 4 Copenhagen/Oslo
After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy the rest of the morning at leisure to shop for Viking souvenirs, relax or take an optional tour to Rosenborg Castle and the Glyptotek Museum. Visit the Rosenborg Castle which hosts an important collection of the Danish crown jewels. Next, you’ll visit Glyptotek with its Egyptian and Greek collections but also several rooms dedicated to French impressionists including one dedicated to Gauguin’s work. You’ll remember that he maintained a close relationship with painter Willumsen, which enabled Danish people to discover the man who started modern art. This afternoon you will be transferred to the DFDS Seaways terminal for your ferry ride to Oslo, departing early evening. Enjoy your first Scandinavian smorgasbord dinner as you cruise gently up the Kattegat. The Kattegat is a narrow bay in southern Scandinavia. From the Oresund and Danish Straits, the Kattegat takes the waters of the Baltic Sea to the Skagerrak, which connects to the North Sea. Dinner and overnight on board. (B,D)

Day 5 Oslo, Norway - City Tour
A delicious buffet breakfast will be served as you cruise along the enchanting Oslo Fjord. Welcome to the Kingdom of Norway – a country with the most beautiful fjords on Earth. Upon arrival, you will board your coach and head out on a guided tour of the Norwegian capital, including the impressive Royal Palace, the main Karl Joan’s district, and the Vigeland Sculpture Park. This afternoon is at leisure or take an optional tour to the Norske folk museum. Visit one of the biggest outdoor museums in Europe where you’ll discover several traditional houses from different regions of Norway. This museum hosts 150 authentic buildings, especially one of Norway’s oldest constructions: a wooden church from the 12th century. Inside traditional art, period costumes and ancient toys are exhibited while outside folkloric dance shows are held. Overnight at the hotel. (B)

Day 6 Oslo/Stockholm
After breakfast you head for the station to board the train to Stockholm. Relaxing from the comfort of your seat you will see spectacular scenery, a fairyland of wooden houses, rolling green hills, small towns and villages before you arrive to Stockholm. Here you will check into your hotel and relax. The rest of the day is at leisure. (B)

Day 7 Stockholm, Sweden - City Tour
After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Stockholm. Famous sights on the tour include the Royal Palace, the Parliament Buildings, the island of Djurgarden and the Old Town (Gamla Stan), with its narrow cobbled streets and numerous antique shops. The highlight of the tour is a visit to City Hall with its famous Blue and Golden Rooms, where the Nobel Prize Banquet is held each year. As part of our Cultural Discovery Series - sample local delicacies in one of the Stockholm’s trendiest restaurants and learn about the Nordic food and culture. Continue your walk through the Sodermalm neighborhood and experience a multicultural mix of chic restaurants and shops. Enjoy your afternoon at leisure or take an optional tour to the impressive Skansen Park and Vasa Museum. Visit Skansen Park, an outdoor museum which explores the Scandinavian housing evolution. Built in 1891, it’s the oldest museum of this kind in the world, with 150 houses, bungalows, churches, farms and manors coming from all over Sweden and brought to life by staff in period costume. One can also find a reconstitution of a Lapp village. Continue on to visit the Vasa museum to see the Vasa ship which was built in 1628 and sank during its launching in Stockholm Harbor. Refloat in 1961, he was remarkably refurbished and gives a great vision of the naval life in the 17th century. The seven-floor museum enables you to admire this unique ship from every angle. Tonight enjoy a farewell dinner. (B,D)

Day 8 Stockholm to USA or extend your stay with an optional Helsinki extension
Today after breakfast you will be transferred to Stockholm International Airport for your return flight home. (B)

Day 8 Stockholm/Helsinki
After breakfast, depending on schedules, enjoy some free time. This afternoon you will be transferred to the pier for a delightful cruise aboard a Silja Line ship. Sail slowly through the lovely archipelago past numerous small islands. Dinner and overnight on board. (B,D)

Day 9 Helsinki, Finland - City Tour
Enjoy your buffet breakfast as you arrive in Helsinki. Helsinki, the capital of Finland, is located on an archipelago of 330 islands and the sea is a significant part of the personality of the city. This morning enjoy a half day guided city tour of Helsinki. Famous sights include the Senate Square, Uspenski Cathedral, Parliament House, Finlandia Hall, Sibelius Park and Monument, the Underground Temple, and much more. Then check into your hotel and relax. During the afternoon, you can explore the busy marketplace or the many souvenir shops close to the harbor during your free time. Finnish crystal and leather goods are an excellent buy. (B)

Day 10 Helsinki
The day is yours to relax. Head out for last minute shopping or maybe relax in the last public spa in Helsinki. Sauna is such a big part of Finnish culture that the country counts one private sauna out of every three inhabitants! (B)

Day 11 Helsinki to USA
Today you will be transferred to Helsinki International Airport for your homeward flight. (B)
